I agree…early voting is bad unless you’re one of those down-the-party-line folks who only vote Democrat or Republican and never stop to weigh their options and are 100% on a candidate. I think you should be able to change your mind about a candidate or to be uncertain. Someone on another blog was complaining about the fact that I had decided to vote for Obama, then decided to wait until after the debates. I just wanted to say, “Well…it’s my vote and the way I go about deciding who I’m voting for is completely up to me and if I change my mind 20 more times from now until November 4th, that’s my business. People need to worry about their own votes and stop spending so much time obsessed about how everyone else is voting.”

So yeah…no early voting for me.

Again, another post that is RIGHT ON! I am shocked and amazed that “feminists” are tearing Palin down and questioning whether or not she can do the job with so many kids. Shocked. Where is the father? Todd has stepped up HUGE and taken care of his family. Do these feminists really believe that it is only a mother who can raise her children? If so, how DARE they have careers outside the home!

As for the banned books thing, check out Michelle Malkin’s site. She has a big article on what bullshit that claim is. The “list” of books she supposedly wanted banned in 1996 included the Harry Potter books which hadn’t even been written yet. So Palin can apparently see into the future too! And there is no record of any books being banned in Wasilla. The dispute between Palin and the librarian included many issues and after hearing from constituents, Palin re-instated the librarian. The “book banning” isn’t true.

I don't think you are being a flip flopper at all. You are looking at both sides and trying to focus on what's right for you. Nothing wrong with that at all. When it comes down to the nitty gritty you have to make a list of the issues and beliefs that are important to YOU. Any time a woman is on a ticket, it's an achievement. Women should be visible in politics more often. However, one's gender should not be the sole reason one votes for a person. Her stances on abortion (against it even in the cases of rape or incest), same-sex marriage, the aforementioned book-burning, her saying the troops are "on a mission from God" and that "God wanted her to be Governor", her firing a government official for not firing her brother-in-law, saying her daughter's pregnancy is a private matter than parading her around (and cutting funding in Alaska for teen pregnancy programs) on the campaign trail, hiring a Washington lobbyist shortly after becoming Governor, leaving her hometown $25 million in debt, actually being in favor of "The Bridge to Nowhere" (yes, that's true), the fact that McCain's campaign is sequestering her from the press so she can't answer any questions...I could go on and on.One day, a woman should be vice president or president. Just not this woman.Jasons last blog post..I have tears in my eyes right now…
