The electricity went out at my house this morning, so we drove to Tybee Island to see what was shakin’. Man…the wind was crazy! It was such a beautiful day though. The surf was up and the water was really choppy. There were a few brave souls out in the water surfing, boarding, and kayaking. We sat on the pier for a little over an hour, enjoying the weather and watching the waves crash in. I think I’ve got sunburn on my nose. *touches nose tip* Yep, it’s sunburn. Despite the sand flying up in our eyeballs and seaspray coating our hair/skin, it was a lovely trip. All of the local news stations were camped out near the pier reporting on the weather. And maybe I was wrong, but I could’ve sworn I saw the Weather Channel guys.

On our way home, the clouds grew dark and the heavens opened up. We heard on the radio that the power was out in some parts of town and trees were down in others. Right now, as I look out my window, the rain is coming down in sheets and the wind is howling around us. Looks to be an interesting night. I’ve got my candles, matches, and flashlights ready just in case.
I’ve got some pictures up in the gallery for those of you interested in viewing them. Yes, you have to sign in to view the pictures, but it only takes a second. I do this to keep people from hotlinking to my images. I also have a 28-second movie that I’m uploading. If you’re interested in viewing it, drop me an email at Nothfnatic-at-hotmail-dot-com and let me know. :)
Oh, btw, I’ll get back to all of your comments sometime tonight and tomorrow. You’ll have to forgive me for not responding sooner, but it’s kind of hard to do without electricity. ;)
